Hyatt to Open A Second Hotel in Addis Ababa

Hyatt is set to introduce yet another of its famous brand hotels within Addis Ababa to complement its Hyatt Regency hotel that opened three years ago.

The new brand is to be - Hyatt Place - and is to be located in Wello Sefer, in front of the local headquarters of the World Bank inside a high-rise building. It is geared towards middle to upper income earning guests on international assignments or leisure tourists looking for international standard. It is to be more exclusive than the one already operating in the nation that has overtaken the business of Sheraton Addis and Hilton long had seen the best hotels in Addis.

Hyatt Regency has so far hosted high international delegation including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier among many others. It has close to 200 rooms with variety of rooms and standards, a swimming pool, a gym and variety of restaurants of international flavor.

The new Hyatt Place Addis Ababa is expected to be operational in a year and is to be opened in partnership with a local investor. The hotel is on its final stage of completion finished and Hyatt has brought in international consultants as it completed its interior work.
